The NASCAR Xfinity Series had its first standalone event of the 2023 season, packing up and heading to the Pacific Northwest to compete at Portland International Raceway.
As for the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, they returned to World Wide Technology Raceway, where the racing was intriguing, to say the least, and Sunday’s event was plagued with lightning delays and power outages.
When things got underway, Cole Custer, Grant Enfinger, and Kyle Busch returned to victory lane in their respective series, capping off an interesting weekend of racing that spanned across the country.

Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at World Wide Technology Raceway marked the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut for Jesse Love, a two-time champion of the ARCA Menards Series West.
However, Love - the winner of the last three ARCA Menards Series events - was scheduled to pilot the No. 1 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. That was until Corey Heim was ruled out of the race, due to illness.
The Menlo Park, California native would jump behind the wheel of the No. 11 Safelite Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in the event, requiring him to get used to the seat in that truck, which proved to be difficult at times for the 18-year-old driver.
While he struggled throughout the afternoon, oftentimes running outside the top-15, it appears as though the debutant appeared to get the hang of things, and was in prime position to earn a solid finish when Scott Zipadelli put him up front.
Love would come home in ninth place, scoring a top-10 finish in his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut, similar to his TRICON Garage teammate William Sawalich.
With his victory Sunday at World Wide Technology Raceway, Kyle Busch has now scored three wins and four top-five finishes in his first 15 starts with Richard Childress Racing, both of which surpass any other driver in that amount of time with RCR.
