#SrigleyStats Weekend Recap: Talladega
Taking a look back at this weekend's NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events from Talladega Superspeedway
Things are always wild when NASCAR heads to Talladega Superspeedway, and this weekend’s events were no different, with fierce action on-track, and some extracurricular tomfoolery in the garage post-race.
In the end, it was Ryan Blaney punching his ticket into the ‘Round of 8’, and Brett Moffitt winning in his return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

#SrigleyStats Spotlight Driver - Talladega - Riley Herbst
While not involved in the NASCAR Cup Series post-season, Riley Herbst played a significant role in the outcome of Sunday’s YellaWood 500, delivering the push to eventual race winner Ryan Blaney, while staying inside the top five in the race’s closing laps.
For Herbst, it allowed him to gain the respect of NASCAR Cup Series drivers in the field, as he made his fourth-ever start at NASCAR’s top level and his second-ever start in the No. 36 Ford for Front Row Motorsports.
Herbst would come home in ninth, a career-best for the Las Vegas, Nevada native.
