#SrigleyStats Weekend Recap: Kansas
Taking a look back at this weekend's NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events at Kansas Speedway.
We’re not in Kansas anymore! But when we were, man was it fun. This weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series all made stops at the 1.5-mile facility in Kansas City.
The racing didn’t disappoint either, with some incredible finishes across two of the three national series, and some great storylines, both inside and outside of the NASCAR Playoffs.
However, as has always been pivotal as the season winds down, mistakes were made by some in contention, which will make their next races more difficult, as they hope to capture their respective series championships.
For those looking for the #SrigleyStats Sheet, don’t worry, that will be released to paid subscribers later this week! If you’re interested in gaining access to the #SrigleyStats Sheet, you can subscribe for $5/month or $50/year, down below:

#SrigleyStats Spotlight Driver - Kansas - Jake Drew:
Jake Drew, the defending champion of the ARCA Menards Series West, has broken onto the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series scene at a slow pace, making just three starts over the course of the Summer, for two different teams.
The Fullerton, California-native debuted at Nashville Superspeedway in the No. 66 Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing, but has since contested his latest two events at IRP and Kansas with Hattori Racing Enterprises in the No. 61.
In three starts, Drew has a worst finish of 17th, and has finished on the lead lap in each of his races this year. However, Friday’s 200-mile contest from Kansas Speedway was his best effort yet.
Running inside the top-10 for much of the event, Drew got mired back in traffic at one point in the race, which forced him to claw his way back up toward the top-10 from outside the top-15.
At the finish, when Jesse Love was assessed a time penalty, it moved Drew up into the top-10 for the first time in his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career, giving him a 10th-place finish.
While the future for Drew is unknown at this point, as far as when he’ll compete in the series again, it’s clear that this youngster has landed on his feet, when it comes to the untimely demise of Sunrise Ford Racing, at the end of 2022.
For now, it’s just a matter of busting the door down, and making your presence in the series known, even if it’s just on a part-time basis.
