The NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series traveled to Kansas Speedway this weekend, for one of the best racing events that the NASCAR Cup Series has seen in a long time.
Plus, there may have been some extracurricular activities that took place on pit road after the race, with Ross Chastain and Noah Gragson getting into a fight. All in all, Sunday was one of the most memorable days NASCAR has seen in quite some time.
Let’s take a look back at some of the #SrigleyStats from this past weekend at Kansas Speedway, as well as a recap of each race’s finishing order, and the #SrigleyStats Spotlight Driver for the week.

After his first venture into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2022 - driving a part-time entry for McAnally Hilgemann Racing - Jake Garcia has put together a fantastic start to his Rookie campaign, driving the No. 35 Chevrolet Silverado.
Missing out on the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway, Garcia made his first start on a 1.5-mile track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway where he scored a 10th-place result.
Over the course of the next six NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events, Garcia has yet to finish worse than 19th place (COTA), including three top-eight finishes at Texas, Bristol (Dirt), and Kansas Speedway this past weekend.
It’s been a great rookie campaign thus far for Garcia, who has seemingly adapted to each and every track he’s competed on, something that can be very difficult for rookie drivers - a fact proven by his ROTY contenders.
That adaptability leaves Garcia 13th in NASCAR Truck Series point standings, just 24 points below the cutline for the post-season, a place where his teammate Christian Eckes has already locked himself into with a victory at Atlanta.
Among the drivers Garcia is ahead of in points, includes Tyler Ankrum, Hailie Deegan, Rajah Caruth, Daniel Dye, Taylor Gray, and Dean Thompson.
Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Kansas Speedway featured a record-smashing 37 lead changes over the course of 400 miles - more than both 2022 Kansas races COMBINED.
It’s the most lead changes on a non-superspeedway in the NASCAR Cup Series since the 2011 Coca-Cola 600, 12 years ago, which featured 38 lead changes over the course of 600 miles.
Driving the No. 1 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON Garage, Toni Breidinger put together an impressive 15th-place run in her NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut at Kansas Speedway on Saturday.
It’s the best debut for a female driver in the history of the NASCAR Truck SEries, beating out a 16th-place debut by Hailie Deegan (2020).
Both Hailie Deegan (P12) and Toni Breidinger (P15) exited Kansas Speedway with solid top-15 finishes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Heart of America 200. It’s the first time in series history that two women have finished inside the top-15 in the same event.
