This past weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series visited Auto Club Speedway for the final NASCAR National Series weekend on the two-mile configuration of the facility.
As usual, #SrigleyStats is coming in clutch with a pair of sweet statistics, despite a rainy, and crappy weather weekend in California, which included the falling of show, and a doubleheader on Sunday.
For those looking for the #SrigleyStats Sheet, don’t worry, that will be released to paid subscribers later today! If you’re interested in gaining access to the #SrigleyStats Sheet, you can subscribe for $5/month or $50/year, down below:
NEW HOME, NEW DRIVER, NEW RECORD
It took Kyle Busch exactly two points-paying NASCAR Cup Series events to bring Richard Childress Racing to victory lane, by crossing the start-finish line first in his No. 8 Lucas Oil Chevrolet Camaro.
With the triumph on Sunday, Busch has now won at least a single NASCAR Cup Series event in each of the last 19 seasons, surpassing the record he and Richard Petty held together prior to 2023.
GOING OUT IN A BLAZE OF GLORY
Sunday’s Production Alliance Group 300 - the final NASCAR National Series event at Auto Club Speedway’s two-mile configuration - featured an incredible 23 lead changes over the course of 150 laps.
In the 42-year history of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, only twice before has a non-superspeedway race featured more than 23 lead changes (Charlotte 1984 and Las Vegas 1997).
John Hunter Nemechek was able to secure the victory over Sam Mayer and Justin Allgaier, picking up his third career win in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
