BUSCH SNIPES POCONO VICTORY FROM COREY HEIM
In Saturday’s NASCAR Truck Series event at Pocono, Kyle Busch scored the win with a last-lap pass on Corey Heim, leading only seven laps in the 150-mile contest, tied for the fewest laps led for Busch in a Truck Series event he won.
Additionally, it’s only the second time in 61 non-superspeedway NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series wins that Busch has pulled off a last-lap pass for the win, the first being Atlanta in 2005.
HENDRICK CONTINUES TO EXCEL… EVEN IN XFINITY
Chase Elliott brought Hendrick Motorsports home third place in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Pocono Raceway, in the entry’s seventh start since its rebirth in 2022.
Elliott, along with his three Hendrick Motorsports teammates that have driven the entry, has placed it inside the top-five six times, with the seventh start resulting in a 25th-place finish after William Byron spun battling for the lead.
KEVIN HARVICK STARTING TO HIT STRIDE IN FINAL SEASON
Kevin Harvick and Rodney Childers have outperformed the capabilities of Stewart-Haas Racing this season, with multiple top-five and top-10 results. However, it’s coming to the time of year when the pairing turns it up.
With back-to-back top-five results at Loudon and Pocono, Harvick scored his first back-to-back top-fives since his wins last season at Michigan and Richmond.
