CHEVROLET CONTINUES EARLY DOMINANCE
Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. (Daytona), Kyle Busch (Auto Club), and William Byron (Las Vegas and Phoenix) have each captured victories in the first four NASCAR Cup Series events for 2023, all while piloting Chevrolet Camaros. It’s the first time since 2001 that any manufacturer has swept the opening four events of the NASCAR Cup Series season.
SAMMY SMITH COLLECTS FIRST OF MANY AT PHOENIX
Sammy Smith, driving the No. 18 Toyota GR Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing, collected his first career victory in the NASCAR Xfinity Series on Saturday, at the young age of 18 years, 9 months, and 7 days old, making him the fourth-youngest winner in the history of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, behind only Joey Logano, Chase Elliott, and Ty Gibbs.
