ROSS CHASTAIN MAKES CHAMPIONSHIP 4 HISTORY

Ross Chastain scored the victory in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Phoenix Raceway, beating out Championship 4 drivers Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, William Byron, and Christopher Bell.

In the history of this winner-takes-all format, Chastain is the first driver in history to score a victory in the season finale, despite not being eligible to win the NASCAR Cup Series championship.


SHELDON CREED FINISHES SECOND PLACE… AGAIN

In his final race with Richard Childress Racing, Sheldon Creed recorded yet another second-place finish in the NASCAR Xfinity Series - the seventh of his two-season tenure with the organization.

Creed has recorded four second-place and five top-three finishes in the last 11 races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, but has yet to score his first career win.


MCANALLY-HILGEMANN RACING MAKES TEAM HISTORY AT PHOENIX

Christian Eckes and Jake Garcia finished inside the top two in Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Phoenix Raceway, driving the No. 19 and No. 35 for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.

For the first time in the organization’s NASCAR Truck Series tenure, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing has put two vehicles inside the top five — and the first time the team has finished 1-2.
