STEWART-HAAS RACING CAPITALIZES ON MARTINSVILLE SPEED
With Aric Almirola and Chase Briscoe finishing in second and fourth, respectively, Stewart-Haas Racing places two entries inside the top five for the first time this season in the NASCAR Cup Series.
In what is his final Martinsville start for Stewart-Haas, Almirola records his best NASCAR Cup Series finish since winning at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the Summer of 2021.
JORDAN ANDERSON RACING CONTINUES STRONG SHOWINGS
Both Jeb Burton and Parker Retzlaff have continued to have strong showings for Jordan Anderson Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, finishing seventh (Retzlaff) and ninth (Burton) in Saturday’s race at Martinsville Speedway.
It’s the fourth time this season that Jordan Anderson Racing has placed both of its entries inside the top-10 in a Xfnity Series event, and the first time on a track shorter than one-mile in length.
AUSTIN CINDRIC CONTINUES TO IMPROVE AMONG PENSKE SURGE
Austin Cindric has had a difficult second season for Team Penske in the NASCAR Cup Series, as the organization has struggled to find speed. But, as that speed has returned, Cindric is beginning to return to form, finishing ninth at Martinsville.
It’s the first time in his Cup Series career that Cindric has finished inside the top-10 on a track shorter than 1.5 miles in length.
