The NASCAR Cup Series had a number of interesting storylines this weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway - with Chase Elliott suspended, Corey LaJoie driving for Hendrick, and Carson Hocevar making his Cup Series debut for Spire.
As for the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Truck Series, things were interesting there too, with the points leader in the Truck Series sitting out due to illness, and a string of hauler failures for Alpha Prime Racing in the Xfinity Series.

WILLIAM BYRON LOOKING TO PUT TOGETHER RECORD STREAK AT SONOMA
With an eighth-place finish in Sunday’s Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway, William Byron has now recorded six consecutive top-10 finishes.
Should the driver of the No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro post another top-10 result at Sonoma, it will be a record for consecutive top-10 results with the NextGen car.
JR MOTORSPORTS FLOURISHES ON THE ROAD IN PORTLAND
In Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Portland International Raceway, Justin Allgaier, Josh Berry, and Sam Mayer each recorded top-five results for JR Motorsports.
It’s the first time in the organization’s tenure in the second-tier series that they’ve placed three entries inside the top five on a road course.
MATT DIBENEDETTO BRINGS RACKLEY WAR TO NEW HEIGHTS
With top-10 results at North Wilkesboro, Charlotte, and Gateway, Matt DiBenedetto and Rackley WAR have been on a streak of good runs, marking the first time in the organization’s history that the No. 25 has put together three straight top-10s.
