The #SrigleyStats Sheet has returned to normal date and time! This weekend at Dover Motor Speedway was yucky regarding the weather forecast in Dover, Delaware, which ultimately postponed the NASCAR Cup Series event until Monday.
But, after a bit of a delay, the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series each got their respective races completed to their full distances.
DOVER - CAREER-BEST FINISHES:
XFINITY: #19 - Ryan Truex - P1
XFINITY: #24 - Corey Heim - P35 (NXS Debut)
RFK RACING: FROM IRRELEVANT TO RELEVANT
Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher finished eighth and ninth in Monday’s Würth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway, marking the second consecutive race that the organization has placed both of its entries inside the top-10.
The organization has not accomplished this in the NASCAR Cup Series since the Summer of 2014 when the team placed three entries in the top-10 at Bristol and two in the top-10 the following weekend at Atlanta.
DOVER MOTOR SPEEDWAY: A TRACK KNOWN FOR FIRST-TIME WINNERS?
On 14 different occasions in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Dover Motor Speedway has produced a first-time winner, just like the victory for Ryan Truex in Saturday’s A-Game 200.
Granted, it’s been nearly two decades since a driver scored their first career victory in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Dover Motor Speedway, that being Scott Wimmer in 2002, driving for Bill Davis Racing.
