NASCAR’s annual ‘Throwback Weekend’ featured some fantastic racing at Darlington Raceway, something that the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series have all become accustomed to in recent years.

Not only did all three series see some fantastic racing, but both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series had some intriguing finishes, that had fans on their feet for the duration of the events.

TRICON BRINGS THE WHOLE GARAGE HOME WITH GOOD RESULTS

In Friday’s NASCAR Truck Series event at Darlington, TRICON Garage was able to put four trucks inside the top-10 for the second time ever - Wallace, Thompson, Heim, and Tan. Gray.

Through the opening nine events of the 2023 NCTS season, the five-truck organization has placed at least one truck inside the top-10 in every event, while putting multiple in the top-10 in five.

SAM HUNT RACING GOES ‘HUNTING’ FOR CAREER DAY AT DARLINGTON

For the second straight year, Sam Hunt Racing has found success at Darlington Speedway, placing both of the organization’s two full-time entries inside the top-10 for the first time in the team’s history.

In the first 11 events of 2023, Sam Hunt Racing has scored three top-10 finishes - two with Kaz Grala, and one with Corey Heim.

HARRISON BURTON FINDS BRIGHT SPOT IN THROWBACK WEEKEND

Earning a sixth-place finish in Sunday’s Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway, Harrison Burton got his first top-10 result of the season, in what is hoped to be a much-needed boost for him and Wood Brothers Racing.

It’s the first top-10 finish for the organization at Darlington since 2002, when Elliott Sadler earned a runner-up finish. Burton was two years old when Sadler scored that top-five result.
