ATLANTA SUPERSPEEDWAY MOTOR SPEEDWAY MASTERS
Since Atlanta Motor Speedway was reconfigured, turning the track into more of a superspeedway than a 1.5-mile facility, there have been a total of three NASCAR Cup Series events contested on the tight-quarters, high-speed track.
With elements of superspeedway racing and elements of handling involved, it can be difficult to get a handle on the track. In three races, only two drivers have scored multiple top-five results, those being Ross Chastain, and Sunday’s fourth-place finisher, Corey LaJoie.
FRONT ROW JOE(Y) STRIKES AGAIN
Joey Logano scored his 32nd NASCAR Cup Series victory in Sunday’s Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, after dominating the event from the pole position.
In fact, starting from the pole and going on to capture the victory at the end of the race has started to become a trend for Logano as of late, with three of his last five victories in the NASCAR Cup Series coming after winning the pole.
