IS THE NUMBER ACTIVE?
Yes. In 2023, the #10 competed full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series, while appearing on a part-time basis in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
In the NASCAR Cup Series, Stewart-Haas Racing continues to field the #10, having done so since Danica Patrick made her series debut in the 2012 Daytona 500. However, this year, Noah Gragson is getting behind the wheel of the entry.
Gragson joins Stewart-Haas Racing after a 22-race stint with LEGACY MOTOR CLUB in 2023, which was prematurely chopped by a NASCAR-divvied suspension ahead of the race at Michigan International Speedway.
Last season, Kaulig Racing fielded the #10 Chevrolet on a full-time basis in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for multiple drivers — including Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson, Daniel Hemric, AJ Allmendinger, and others.
The organization will continue to field the entry in 2024, albeit on a part-time basis, as Daniel Dye will pilot the #10 in 10 NASCAR Xfinity Series events, including the season-opener at Daytona.
Jennifer Jo Cobb has served as owner-driver of the #10 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for several years, fielding the entry since 2010. However, in the last couple of seasons her schedule was dwindled, and last season, that schedule only included one start at Kansas Speedway in the Fall.
WHO HAS MOST FREQUENTLY USED THE #10?
NASCAR Cup Series: Bill Champion — 244 Starts
NASCAR Xfinity Series: Jeff Green — 134 Starts
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series: Jennifer Jo Cobb — 213 Starts
MISCELLANEOUS STATS ABOUT THE #10 IN NASCAR
Between Jennifer Jo Cobb (NCTS) and Danica Patrick (NCS), the #10 has had more than 400 NASCAR National Series starts with a woman behind the wheel — more than any other car number in NASCAR history.
Despite having fewer starts than Bill Champion, both Aric Almirola and Ricky Rudd managed to score the most top-10 finishes of any driver while using the #10.
With 244 starts in the #10, Bill Champion never led a lap in the NASCAR Cup Series while using the number.
Three of the six winners in the NASCAR Xfinity Series while using the #10 have come from Kaulig Racing — Jeb Burton, AJ Allmendinger, and Kyle Larson.
In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Jeff Green has led two times the number of laps that any other driver has while driving the #10.
Terry Cook was the most successful driver in the #10 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, leading 248 laps and scoring seven top-five and 27 top-10 finishes. However, his average finish exceeded 15th at 15.2 in 75 starts/
